At the University of Chicago Dermatology Residency Program we aim to recruit individuals that are diverse, enthusiastic, team-minded, and dedicated to dermatology. We do so by performing a holistic review of our applicants that is not limited to academic metrics such as scores and grades but evaluates the individual based on their experiences, interests, accomplishments, and personality. This is achieved by reviewing the complete application including the letters of recommendation, personal statement, and activities. We encourage all of our applicants to have their application reflect their authentic self. For the 2023 ERAS® cycle, our program will be participating in the supplemental ERAS application offered through the AAMC’s ERAS program.
